Welcome back my steemit friends! After traveling around the world for well over a decade I've learned that many people from countries other than the US assume that all Americans are rich. Here at the Swap Shop you can see that this is simply not the case. This is not Mall of America or the super high end "Las Olas Blvd" just a few miles from here.
Many poor and struggling Americans come and set up shop at the flea market, hoping to make a few dollars to have just enough to keep themselves going for another day. The Swap shop is notorious for bargain hunters and often attracts a less fortunate crowed on both the selling and buying side.
The high end sports car display here makes me reflect on the hopes and dreams of so many in this country. It's the "in your face" dangling carrot for employees and visitors alike. If you work hard enough maybe one day you can drive one home.
Fortunately with my "Travel Pro" experience, I've learned that fancy expensive things simply do not buy happiness. It's the people you love and the peace in your heart that makes for a good life. This way of thinking is sadly drowned out in such a materialistic society.
Now lets have a final look at the Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, United States.
Great contrast you noticed and so true words .
very good have good day
