Hey there my Steemit friends. Here on the Island of San Cristobal in Ecuador's Galapagos Islands taking care of this unique natural environment is top priority. The Ecuadorians are very proud to have such an incredible place to call home and they make sure to teach their youth the importance of preserving such an amazing natural environment.
While walking five minutes from the airport into town, I walked past the elementary school of San Cristobal. The wall outside of the school was painted with murals showcasing their relationship with the environment. The students are really being taught that they are the care takers of this unique and sensitive ecosystem and it shows in their art work.
I found these paintings to be very touching and sincere. The children are being taught great principles and certainly have no problem expressing them on the walls outside of their school. Now come along and let's have a look at what the children are drawing here in San Cristobal Galapagos Islands!
Great murals! I love that you find, and share, the everyday art that is so easy to miss and just walk by without taking much notice.
cool post, Dan. You mentioned a tool that I might like to use. Steemit.chat is down, can you contact me on discord? Thanks
Starting for a young age! Hopefully, the children know and appreciate what a beautiful island they live on and can preserve the nature on there.
Maybe some practical infrastructure (like internet...) needs to be in place, but otherwise we hope the island doesn't become too overdeveloped.
Congratulations, Your Post Has Been Added To The Steemit Worldmap!
