Travel Pro Tip #27: How to Live Travel Pro! Inspired by @jedau. Part One, Get Your Money Straight!

in #travel7 years ago

Hey there my Steemit friends! Recently in a conversation with my new best Steemit buddy @jedau, he asked me how do I afford to Travel? Well, there is no simple answer to that. Quite frankly I don't travel like 99% of everyone else. I don't look at it like vacationing at all. I don't really even look at it like traveling. I look at it like living life strategically to get the most out of what life and the world has to offer!

Very good points 👍 you're reminding me of "goodbye gary cooper" by Roman Gary

The main character, naned Leni, was a true nomad, nothing could nail him down to a place...

yes you are good story teller - that's also compliment ;)
sure I will follow. thanks for writing

good write it, because I also like to travel far. Thank you for the information.

Nice post sir! Thanks for the information amd motivation for all the people who want to travel like me. Always take care to your adventures! Godbless :)

Wayhay! Thanks for the shoutout, Dan! It's always nice when I have a hand in jumpstarting a series here haha! Man, I'm locked in with this. I'm really motivated to live like a travel pro, and I'm hoping a lot of my investments pan out. With crypto coins in play, there's that added wild card. I did go through the first steps though. I worked crazy hours early on, working multiple jobs at once. I didn't get to buy a house at 24, but I managed to save up quite a bit to tide myself over a number of jobless years. I'm holding out hope that with the help of your tips, I could live untethered pretty soon!

I actually said to my cousin today at lunch - "I wonder how @world-travel-pro gets the money he lives off" and when I got home you'd published this article. Very twilight zone!! Looking forward to the next one in the series. 😊

That is great... Thank you for shared a motivated to us...
Good luck... May good always bless you 💖💖💖💖

important information for those who want to travel thanks for sharing it and for the successes to continue

Awesome post @world-travel-pro! Firstly I love every single photo in this post. you really look at home in yourself and this turns out to be a sort of gift to the viewer of the photo too since it's inspiring and a bit contagious.

And in the photo of the kids on top of you, the girl right over you with her eyes rolling made me laugh out loud!

Also, yours is a good story to tell because you clearly have had and continue to have a focused clear path outlining your goals: freedom of time and action which requires financial freedom.

AND what's more, you have the know-how, resourcefulness and smarts to actually take the actions needed to create this life.

This is a surprisingly rare combination! I have all of this in terms of the microcosm of imagining and then making a piece of art, or to transform myself/grow personally but haven't been as agile, clear-headed and focused outside of these areas. However many things are conspiring in my life to bring about more clarity and a capacity to know more about what I want and to take actions that reflect these values. One small step at a time. It's slow for me but it is surely happening. And your great and generous advice and the inspiration you've provided have been part of what's helped me, thank you!

Excellent idea to write a book about this, so glad to hear it!
That is the perfect way to use steemit - I think our work here has the unique capacity to lead us into taking it out into a bigger context or at least some of it. I've been thinking about this for awhile for myself knowing that an endeavor will be born from the work I'm doing here.

very cool article :D definitely inspiring :)
thanks for sharing @world-travel-pro

cheers
@marsell

Great article and post. It is very true that you need money in order to travel but I would like to add that when you travel you don't need to spend a lot of money to have fun. One of my good friends went on a world backpacking trip and saved up for 2 years to do this trip. Over 2 and a half years later he is still going and is averaging now $18 a day in expenses excluding plane and travel costs. I think its great that you have multiple sources of income, especially a rental property as that is one of the best ways to diversify your income and seems like you're on a great path towards success. Hopefully Steem becomes another significant source of income for you and you can continue traveling and experiencing the world.

Great post Dan! very happy for you on how you can life right now after the hard work and smart decisions. Hope the post will do well, bacause it's helpfull to many

Awesome! May this post serve as a guideline for new generations of travel pros, digital nomads, slow travelers and all of those people out there who think collecting experiences is more than collecting things! :) Great job Dan, thanks for sharing :)

Soon I will do the same, it is my new goal ...

Excellent post. Very Nice ;)
