HELLO FELLOW STEEMIANS!
It's your worldwide traveller and I am so excited to finally join this great community. I will try my best to bring some fun and knowledge by doing a weekly blog about countries across the world. If you're as passionate as I am about travelling and exploring, than I hope we can help each other on our journey. So sit back and enjoy the ride!
This week I will introduce you to one of the first countries I visited.
Slovenia is a tiny beautiful country located in the south of central Europe, which you should definitely include in your Euro trip.
THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN SLOVENIA
VISIT TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK
Like most national parks, they are suited to outdoorsy types, with a plethora of ways to experience the magical park, such as paragliding, hiking and rafting.
SKI THE SLOPES
It's snow covered alpine forests and mountains are perfect for skiing, snowboarding and skating. If you are looking for something more structured, head to one of the many resorts including Kranjska Gora, Cerkno and Rogla.
TRY THE LOCAL CUISINE
During your time in Slovenia, you certainly should feed the soul, and that means trying some delicious local cuisine. Be on the lookout for žganci, štruklji, and that famous Bled kremšnita. There are countless authentic restaurants in Ljubljana, so make sure you head there for a three-course delight.
VISIT LAKE BLED
This beautiful lake which has a church on an islet in the middle of the lake and is overlooked by Bled castle has to be seen to be believed. For the best views of the lake head up to the castle , and for some fun take a ride on the Pletna boat and visit the gothic church on the island.
Comment below if you have any particular country you want me to cover in the next blog.
Any suggestions, ideas and feedback are welcome!

Welcome to Steem @worldwide10 I have sent you a tip
Exceptional.
Welcome to Steemit! As a girl I met in Amsterdam (who lived in Slovenia) said, it's the kind of place where you would want to retire. I would like to suggest the Metelkova neighbourhood in Ljubljana, which is especially active on Friday nights. Metelkova also has Hostel Celica, which was once voted the coolest hostel in the world by Lonely Planet and used to be a prison!
Love the photos! I would love you to cover Australia next. It's one of my favorite places. In particular, the great barrier reef!
Great choice and thank you for the suggestion! Make sure to follow so you don't miss the next blog
