Two days ago, I shared with you how we celebrated a special occasion for fathers with my family. Visiting Bolasi Beach happened on Father's Day, which was on Sunday.
Then, in the morning of Monday, we also had another family trip. This is where we continued our trip that was postponed because of the bad weather last sunday.
So, Today, I will share with you our family trip experience that happened last Monday.
We left our house around 9 a.m. And you know what? My two aunts let me take a bath first at 6 a.m. because they know that I am slow, and I always soak my body in whitening soap. I really put in a lot and soaked some things that I was using in taking a bath so I could be sure that my hair and body were clean. Lol, and the water was so cold (like the way he treats me now. It's cold na 💔) during that time.
Like what I did during our first trip last Sunday, my place is on the back with my cousins. And before we went to our destination, they decided to go to FSI Supermarket first. And since FSI has a lot of food vendors in front, our cousins are hungry, so we go down in our car first to buy something. I bought one fried chicken and one cup of nuggets.
And while we are traveling, as always, the adults are talking about random things. Our plan will go to grapefruit picking in Bauang, La Union. We will also eat lunch at Eco Park, and then we will visit the cathedral church.
We arrived at 10:53 a.m. in our first destination. This is my first time going to the grapefruit farm. I always see Strawberry Farm in Baguio City, but I have never tried visiting Grapes Farm. So my first impression of this farm is disappointment. I have big expectations for how it looks.
We get off the car and go inside where the house of the owner is. While they were talking, I decided to take a picture of the grapes that were just nearby.
The grapes look cute to me. Haha, I like how they look in a small circle. You know, I just drew grapefruit before, but it's always violet. But now, this is how it really looks when they are on their three and have not picked yet.
The owner told us that they are not yet accepting customers because the fruit of their grapes is just a little. But they said there are also many grapefruit farms to choose from next to each other. So we decided to go to the other farm.
When we arrived at the second grapefruit farm, we saw that there were also some customers, which is great because we can now finally pick some grapes!
But why naman pagkakarating namin inabutan ako agad ng tagay? 😆
This is a grape wine. They are offering a free taste. My grandpa told me to taste it first to see if it tastes good. Lol, he knew that his granddaughter was good at alcoholic drinks. haha
You know what I like when I try to taste this handmade wine? You can't taste the alcohol, unlike the other branded wines that I tasted; it's hurting my throat.
I like the taste. Maybe you can't taste the same taste as the branded wines because they're mild and smooth on the throat, but you can also feel a little effect, like some alcoholic beverages give you after.
They are selling different fruit flavors of handmade wines here.
What I like to try is the Guyabano wine. Haha I like to taste it if you can still taste the sourness of the fruit. But it's expensive. It costs 200–350 pesos for one bottle. Nevermind, because that wine couldn't make me drunk; it's just a waste of money. At that time, I thought of just letting my grandpa buy and pay, then asking for a taste when he would drink it at home. Lol
It's time to take pictures so that I can have something to send to my mom and older sister. But my younger cousin is not good at taking pictures. Huhu plus I look haggard and ugly because it's hot during that time. Lol
After my grandparents and aunts picked grapes, we took a group picture, but we are not that sync looking at the camera, and our grandpa is so stubborn. He keeps talking I mean, look at him. We don't even have a peace of find a good pose.
After we took pictures, we decided to go to the counter so that they could pay for the grapes that they picked. Oh, I forgot to say that there's no entrance fee when you enter their farm. You just need to pay for the grapefruit that you picked, which costs PHP 250 per kilo.
Aside from the grapes, my grandpa also decided to buy some wine. He bought one big bottle of mangosteen wine and two bottles of grape wine.
My Tita bought chips as a pasalubong for her kids, while my other aunt also bought chips as a pasalubong for her mother-in-laws.
While here I am looking for their souveneirs, but sadly, they don't have any souveneirs aside from this one. But it's not to my liking. I want to buy a ref magnet souveneir that says "I ❤️ La Union" something like that. Huhu
Anyway, this is the place we went to: Liezel Gapuz Salino's Grapefruit Farm Their staff is friendly, and they assist their customers too.
When we are all done, we decide to go to our next destination, which is to go back to the Eco Park in Agoo, La Union. It's just 35 minutes away from the grapefruit farm that we went to.
We decided to eat our lunch there and have a little picknic moment because it was postponed during our Father's Day celebration.
Flashback during our first visit to the eco park.
When we came down in the car, the first thing that I noticed were the trees. It's giving me the vibe of Baguio City. You know, the pine trees? But I feel disappointed because it's not the same as what I always watch and see from the other people who came here already.
But you know, this place is really a good place for some couples who are planning to have a date. You will have a photoshoot for special events like that. You just need to add some filters or effects so that the beauty will be an eye-catcher.
Roaming around with my cousins and uncle yesterday, we saw some food stools. We decided to try the food there.
We decided to buy and try their takoyaki. But their takoyaki is not that good. I can't taste the white something; it's tasteless for me, but I still manage to finish it because I don't like to waste blessings.
What I also noticed during that time were their trashbins. They have some kind of place everywhere where you can put some plastic bottles. We were supposed to try other foods, but the rain was approaching, so we decided to go back to where we planned to picnic because we would help them arrange our things before going home.
End of Flashback.
We arrived at the Eco Park around 12:21 p.m. When you go here at Eco Park, not everything is free. There are some people who collect entrance fees before you enter the eco-park. It costs 10 pesos for kids and 20 pesos for teens and adults. And so, this spot is also not for free because you need to rent it for 250 pesos, but our family is good at bargaining, so we made a deal of 150. Because the spot is not that elegant, plus we will just stay there until after lunch.
We started to eat our lunch, and we just had a simple meal that we prepared.
After we ate, I invited my cousins to take a walk and take pictures on the bridge, but before we could reach the very end, we stepped back because our hair was standing up. The weather was not that nice, and the sound of thunder was scary during that time, which means that it will rain again. Some people say that when your hair is standing, lightning will come to you. So we ran and went to where our family was.
From my Tita Dho's phone.
We took a lot of pictures and watched the sea waves.
When the hard rain started to pour and thunderstorms were really scary, And because it was raining, we couldn't go to the cathedral church. So, we decided to go home.
But wait! Before we went home, we stopped by in The Coffee Library, located at TPLEX La Union, because we had another sponsor for our coffee. But of course, I won't talk about this and decided to write about these happenings on my next blog.
But for now, these are the only things I can share with you about our second family trip to Elyu.
THANKS FOR READING!

Actually, may nakita akong part malapit doon sa may Eco park or dulo ng side ng ecopark yun. Sobrang liblib na puno tas ang dilim. Katakot. Madadaanan siya. Kasi kita sa bridge.
Alam mo ba ate may nakita ako sa eco park, may nakatayo na tent don tapos solo lang nag magjowa yung place. Parang iba naiisip ko eh 😂
