Great job on your first post @abchro! Biga Pit looks lovely now that the mining operations are suspended. That's also probably why the water's pH is now at a substantial level. I really hope they rethink about resuming operations in 2021 as I believe the mine tailings are a threat to the surrounding environment and very hazardous to the health of residents nearby.
Also, I was in Po-og last week and I was looking at the landscape from the hills. You're right with saying that there is a high contrast between the thick tree-lined green forests and the dry barren patches from the open pit mining. It's a sad sight, really.
Thank you @xaydtrips. Yes, Biga Pit looks lovely. I heard that the mining company-CCC is now also implementing on the reforestation of the idle portion of Lutopan Pit.
