Take a walk at Kyoto station

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

I often go to Kyoto station and take trains, but I had never visited this famous station before today. Today in order to post something on Steemit, I took a walk at this station and took several photos.

Kyoto Station is a major railway station and transportation hub in Japan. It is one of the country's largest buildings, incorporating a shopping mall, hotel, movie theater and so on. It was designed by the architect Hiroshi Hara who graduated from the University of Tokyo and have earned many awards.

This station has a side platform and four island platforms serving eight tracks for the Biwako Line and JR Kyoto Line. I usually take JR Kyoto Line from my home to school.

One interesting thing is the bus schedule, which displays the time when buses leave and arrive. It is similar to the schedule for train and airplane.
