RE: This Is Japan

in #travel7 years ago

It looks great for local businesses as well, I read about shopping streets closing down due to customers choosing mainstream places over the mom and pop stores but these festivals seem like a great opportunity to show off your wares and bring in fresh faces as well as old friends.

Great post @boxcarblue, followed for more interesting posts about Japan!

Thanks for following! I'm glad to hear it. Actually, the vendors at these festivals might be something of a class of wanderers. I'm not positive, but I think they pretty much just travel around from festival to festival, sometimes setting up in parks and scenic places when there are flower blooms, etc.

Ahh I see, much like the food vendors we get here then, they go through the different Markets throughout the week with Saturday and Sunday markets being the big draws.
I love how Japan has the different festivals for each region that showcase the local produce or season.
Thank you.

I have a feeling it's different. I think these people specialize in one kind of food or game and don't worry so much about seasonal or local produce. Honestly, though, I'm not sure.
