Today in "Stay at home and share 3 photos of your travels" I'm sharing three towers in Europe. Thank you @psos for giving me a reason to revisit my photos :)
Rua Augusta Arch - 2017 (Lisbon, Portugal)
It was built as a symbol of the Portuguese capital's recovery from the destruction of the 1755 earthquake.
Arc de Triomf - 2017 (Barcelona, Spain)
This arch was the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair, which was held in the Parc de la Ciutadella.
Lesser Town from Charles Bridge - 2019 (Prague,Czech Republic)
These two different towers, connected by a gate, are at the Charles Bridge. The smaller tower is Romanesque (12th century) and the taller Late Gothic (1464). The Charles Bridge, that crosses Vltava River, is very popular in Prague.
