Indus River Water Cross Challenge 4X4 Jeep Rally

Indus River Water Cross 4X4 Jeep Rally held at Hund point near Swabi Interchange on the M-1 Motorway. The event was organised by the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP), Frontier 4×4 Club and Swabi district government. Now it has become an annual and a well organized event.

A large no of spectators enjoyed the game of force and power of four wheelers and the skillful drivers crossed the mighty Indus River. The activity is aimed at providing entertainment to the locals and highlighting the potential of tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

More than hundred jeep racers and motorbike riders participated in this Indus Water cross jeep rally. A tough and rough track of stones and rocks of nine kilometer distance was established over the waters of mighty Indus River for the jeep racers.

Women drivers also participated in this event and showed that they are also capable of doing this tough sport. They also completed this tough track with their skillful driving.

In this event people participated with enthusiasm that was reflecting in their preparation for race. They came with colorful and well decorated jeeps. In this event we saw bright yellow color jeep. A jeep decorated with Pakistani flag was the main high light of this event.

As this track was difficult and at many places water was deep, many vehicles stuck and they needed extra horse power to came out of water.

I traveled from Islamabad to Swabi to witness this event. It was a well arranged and executed event and driving skills of participants were world class.
