Welcome to the edition of #traveldigest! Enjoy!
As always all posts featured here will be put on our Editors Choice Map.

Hi. It's @choogirl here. I hope everyone is having a great Friday/Saturday. It's another perfect pool day here in Panama. It's still the dry season meaning the sun is shining, it's hot, and the sooner I write this the sooner I can go work on my tan!

    #1 Kiev, Ukraine

We start off today in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. @travelshots explores this underrated city highlighting the various attractions around the old town and along the river. There are numerous well kept religious buildings worth visiting, including the beautiful St. Michael's Monastery and the Kiev Monastery of the Caves, which is one of the city's highlights. If you imagine Kiev as a collection of boring, grey, prefabricated concrete blocks left over from the Soviet era, then it's time to re-evaluate.

    #2 Cinque Terre, Italy

@mwi then takes us to Cinque Terre, a series of five picture-postcard coastal villages along the Ligurian coastline in Italy. The area has been UNESCO World Heritage sited since 1997 and swarms of tourists flock here daily. To avoid the crowds, @mwi begins exploring early on foot. As she follows the trail through each village, she makes her way up to the top of the mountain through the lush green terraces. Although not an easy hike, her persistence is finally rewarded with panoramic views of Cinque Terre and the beautiful Mediterranean coastline.

    #3 Lombok, Indonesia

Finally, @marcelgoo reminisces about his Southeast Asian home on Lombok Island, Indonesia. Unsurprisingly, what he loves most about this place is the beaches. As he goes through his top nine choices, we learn which beaches are the most popular and crowded, and which are more secluded and private—including a few on nearby uninhabited islands. Regardless of how many other people are there on the day, if clear turquoise water, white sand and lush tropical vegetation are your thing, then Lombok has a lot to offer.

You're welcome! Thank you for posting to the map.

Goodnight , I have very little time in this great family, and every day I learn more, they are a multidisciplinary team and efficient that I'm amazed as this platform rises by leaps every day, I want to participate and I have a few question.
    (1) how can I have the code to be placed on the map
    (2) how many days you must have publication for attaching it to the map
    (3) what possibilities there are add videos of one minute to map.
Thank you very much for the help you can give, I am already a follower more than his publications

    1. It is a bit old but it still works :).https://steemit.com/steemit/@zelenicic/great-tools-of-trade-steemit-world-map
    2. None. It will post it on the map no matter how old article is (it can be now written or few days old).
    3. It is a link to your article so it can be anything you want it to be.

Go to http://steemitworldmap.com. Search for your location, click on code (down the bottom) and add a short description. It will then generate the code you need to copy and paste into your post (not the comments) to have it show up on steemit worldmap. Then your post will be on the map! There’s also a FAQ section if you need it.
You can only add posts that are still within the 7 day edit window to the map.

Thank you so much for the mentioning .... could someone maybe update our anchor text ... confused me there for a moment :)

Dunno what happened there, but both posts are fixed.

So freaking cool!! Best tool on steemit :D

    nice effort to start with

Having a place where I can sum up my entire trip and describe the beauty of my land is priceless. Thank you for a great tool. And I maid it to honorable mentions that is awesome.

I was born in Kiev. I lived in Ukraine for 10 years, then I got adopted and moved to the states. I haven't been there since I was little, and I would love to go back there again! Maybe when I have enough money lol!

Hey, thanks a ton, these digests are the thing for me. :D

Amazing to see so many different yet fantastic places each in its own right; from cold and temperate Kiev (founded by the Kyevan Rus, no?) to the Mediterranean coves of Cinque Terre (so funny to pronounce :D) to the white-sanded turquoise-watered Indonesia, this is a ride for all tastes and moods!

By the way, "Cinque Terre" means Five Lands, right? So, what is each called? :)
