Introduction
Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with the weekend edition of the #traveldigest. Hope you are all keeping safe from the Covid-19 wherever you are. Now that everyone's movement is a bit restricted and you have more time staying in, it's the best time to write about your travels and pin them onto the Steem Worldmap. And don't forget, with the lower Steem price, you also end up with more Steem and SP at payout!!!
All featured posts will be put on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by the @steemitworldmap team and by @blocktrades.

#1 Kawgoon Cave Temple in Hpa-an in Eastern Burma - 14 Centuries of Meditation Energy by @artemislives
Standing in the presence of 14 centuries of meditation energy is quite something - humbling and awe-inspiring. The day we visited - 13th March 2020 - we saw not one other foreigner, just Karen and Burmese families paying their respects, praying and enjoying a family day out.Kawgoon Cave is a Buddhist Temple which lies about 30 mins outside of the city of Hpa-a, the capital of Karen State in Eastern Burma.

Once again I headed up the East fork San Gabriel river for some gold prospecting! I hiked in to my usual camp and spent a few days camping and digging. On my way up I stopped and climbed up the east side of the Narrows to check out some old mines. There were a bunch of mines, but these mines are old placer mines that are dug into the ancient riverbed material.

Recently I took a trip to Gyeongju which is the ancient Shilla capital city in South Western Korea. Sometimes when I travel, I want to do something a little different. It was getting cold, so I figured I would do something indoors. The bird park was a perfect idea. When Koreans think of Gyeongju, they don't really think of tropical birds or tourist traps. These do exist in the city, however, it's not why Koreans come here (there are closer tourist traps to Seoul). The entire city is an outdoor museum with relics mostly dating to the height of that civilization which was around 1200-1400 years ago during the late 3-kingdom's period.
