I've never visited Barcelona, but having read your post- it's now firmly on my bucket list! I love Gaudi's work- I studied it at school- and I remember wondering, like you, how on hearth he found a team of builders and craftsmen to undertake his beautiful, unusual visions and turn them into a reality. Your photographs of the Sagrada Familia are exquisite, and I really really must see it for myself! I can imagine that the colour and the light all play a huge part in the feeling of the place.
Your photos of the German Pavilion also have me intrigued- they stand in almost a complete counterpoint to Gaudi's work, don't they?! I definitely have to see that too- and to me, that place looks like it holds even more calm than the tourist-infested Montserrat!
You've convinced me. An architectural tour of Barcelona is going to have to happen! Thank you for such a wonderful post.

I’m so, so happy that my post managed to leave such an strong impression 🙏 We truly liked Barcelona so much, that we wold greatly recommend visiting it to any living soul out there. The energy of this city is incredibly special and authentic. Like you said, the difference between certain objects is so radical and yet it’s like they represent different key notes that form the wonderful and grand symphony of Barcelona.
You definitely won’t regret puting this tour on your travel bucket list
