Other stories and advices about travel to UAE: Day 1 in Dubai, Accommodation, Safari Tour, Transportation, Palm Jumeirah, World Largest Shopping Mall
I already shared with you so many stories and places in United Arab Emirates. But I didn’t take you to the heart of Dubai yet. Probably, you already know which place I am talking about. Yes, today we will visit the highest building in the world — to the Burj Khalifa.
Few facts about Burj Khalifa
A construction height is 828 meters, and 163 floors (9 floors of which are for maintenance).
Burj Khalifa is a collaborated project of few world famous companies: Emaar Properties, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Samsung C&T.
Construction started in Spetember 2010, and official opening ceremony was on 4th January 2010.
The first name was Burj Dubai or Dubai Tower. On the date of openning it was renamed in honour of the president of United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bn Zayed Al Nahyan.
Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai Mall, or close to it. And you can buy tickets right there. But I would recommend you to book it in advance online. There are different types of ticket, depend on the floor where you want to climb up: 124 or 125,or 148. The difference in price is almost double. I will give one tips, if weather is not so good, so there is no point to pay double and go up to 148th floor. The view will be almost the same. So, I went to 125th floor. Here you can enjoy the view, buy souvenirs, drink coffee.
