Last night I was drinking beer with funny Chinese guys and cute Israeli girls writing my blog about Steem's Casino games. I still use the original Steemit website rather than Steampeak, Busy, or TravelFeed because it still does some things better like saving your HTML work even if your browser crashes and the wallet works. People really seem to like the casino more than Splinterlands, so I'll try to get more people in that way.

This skinny young Lao girl walked by and had a smoke with us. She is 27, but looks like 19. I thought it would be good to hang out with a girl closer to 30 than my daughter's age, but girls here look, think, and act alike from about 19 to 30+. Some women my age look great, but it feels like they are from my parents generation. It was 3 am and Mina asked me to walk her to her room. Why would I say no?

I woke up at about 7:30 and walked across the street to this ancient temple to take these shots. I've heard of being two-faced before, but maybe four-faced is more realistic.

I always try to have the sun at my back, but the sun was rising behind this temple, so I had no choice. I was showing an old monk my pictures and travel blog here on TravelFeed. He thought it was neat.

This Buddha looks great with the light of the rising sun.

It took several tries to get this shot. It is wrong to cut the roof off like this in the shot, but it was this or ugly power lines in the frame.

I cropped this photo just using the iPad's big screen at the same time I took this shot killing two birds with one snap.

They are doing some repairs on the roof. I doubt that in the United States construction crews are allowed to use bamboo like this. It wouldn't pass a safety inspection or be up to code or whatever the bureaucracy is called.

This sign says the temple was first built in 1548 and redone in 1992. In 1548, firearms were used for the first time in battle in Japan. 1992 was the year President Bush and Yeltsin declared that the cold war was over.

Here's a close up of the main pagoda.

After the temple, I went back to see Mina, but she was still asleep, so I went for a walk to the Mekong River and saw this old Jeep. You can park and abandon cars here for years and they don't mess with it. Three seconds in America and say hello car jail.

I love this old tree by the river. You can see some tour boats too.
