This park is in the heart of the town. My friend wanted to learn about Steemit and Travelfeed, so I used his phone to take these pictures and show him the way.
I'm always happy to see solar energy being used. Solar for Siam is the Facebook page I created to start an NGO in Laos and Thailand to promote solar energy. If every roof had Elon Musk's solar technology, we wouldn't have to see ugly power lines everywhere.
The picture above this one shows the solar panel and battery that turns on these LED lights at night.
Here is the entrance and sign for the park. It is a monument to the first president of Laos.
People like to come here at night to walk laps around the park.
These stacked up rocks looked like ancient graves or something.
I told my friend it's good to always have the sun at your back. You should try to get something in the foreground like these flowers and something in the background. Photography isn't that hard for me, but some people don't seem to get it. Creating an account through travelfeed.io is easier than through Steemit.com, but new users can really get thrown off by 12 word pass phrases and long private and posting keys. I had one student confuse private and posting key five times now.
Here are the steps up to the president's monument.
I had to lay down for this shot. President Souphanouvong was nicknamed, The Red Prince. Even though he was royalty, his mother was a common person. He spoke 8 languages. He died in 1995 at 86 years old.
