Yaaas! It's our pleasure!

Congratulations for making it to the Top 3 in the Daily Travel Digest!

Amazingly colorful feast for the eyes! I am so glad that you enjoyed the event. You have plenty of gorgeous shots to show for it. Many years ago when I lived in Illinois, many balloonists (Is that what you call them?) used to use the empty field across from our house on a regular basis. It was fun to watch!

Thanks!

I don't know if they are called balloonits - perhaps crazy people! LOL

That would be something super cool to see on a regular basis!

Thanks for stopping by!

You are welcome! Yes it was cool until I think there was some ordinance that stopped them because they were so close to our houses!

LOL First world problems!

I know. We have so many rules about everything.

This is the most colorful post of the year!
Amazing. Every picture takes us there. It must have been fun, especially for kids. The kind of experience one never forgets.
Was there any problems once the baloons were in the air, or any malfunctioning/not flying?
Most of the designs on the baloons are just incredible. Some look quite funny actually, like the panda or the frog.
I am surprised they did not have sci-fi sort of designs. They would surely give the impression of an alien invasion :)

Well 2 balloons did crash - but I don't know if it was a big deal since they move so slow! LOL

My favorite was the cat - but there were definitely some creative balloons!

Thanks for taking the time to comment - I appreciate it!!!

ehy dear @mikeycolon, all you can do is look at your photos and remain as amazed as children! it is really interesting to see all these people with the balloon, but the owners use them only for tourist purposes? I'm a bit afraid of flying, but I'd love to be able to experience a thrill like that, and I'd certainly choose the panda balloon !! :-))
congratulations on your curie vote and thanks for sharing

Thanks for the lovely comment!

From what I gathered most people do both - recreation and for tourism purposes. But I honestly don't think they make money and they'd be lucky to break even for the day. But I'm sure companies that do it commercially do make a profit (or they wouldn't do it).

Just be prepared to sweat if you do as it get super hot!

Thanks again for stopping by!

I will always say that Steemit photographers have a lot of talent, so look at those pictures! They are spectacular♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Spectacular showcases of beautiful hot air balloons! I especially like the ones that have different shapes such as the frog or that pink cat. I have never seen a balloon with different shape than a balloon :) And I have never attended such an event. Oh, I wish we had something like this here..

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

No problemo - I'm glad you enjoyed the post. And out of curiosity where is "here"?

I think that 'here' would be Europe in general as I have never heard of something like that. But more specifically it is Switzerland, Slovakia and the Netherlands as I'm very familiar with those countries and either live or have family there :)

Congratulations @mikeycolon!

Great shots! Maybe the answer is no (considering the intro and all LOL), but do you also go to the balloon festivals in the Hudson Valley and the Catskills/Adirondacks?

LOL

I haven't been upstate but perhaps one day! Perhaps it's something I should look into to see if it's cheaper. I know my wife would be super happy and surprised. :D
