Middle of the world

Hey travel lovers! Have you ever been to middle of the world/earth? Did you know where is? İt is in Akşehir city (district of Konya city, TURKEY🇹🇷)

Of course according to Nasreddin hoca 😁 Nasreddin Hoca lived in Akşehir city in 13rd century. He was a philosopher but he was not an ordinary philosopher. He was very wisecracking man. His wits and jokes known by Turkish people for 650 years. Yes you heard true. Turks know and love him for about 650 years.

İ want to share one of his joke:

EXPENSIVE BIRD

Nasreddin hoca goes to market of Akşehir city. He see one of bird seller. The bird seller sells his bird for 50 Akçe (Akçe is an old gold money). Nasreddin hoca gets very surprised. Because very near, a chicken seller sells his chickens for 5 Akçe.

And Nasreddin hoca ask the bird seller:
“why your bird is 50 Akçe, it is very expensive?, look chickens are only 5 Akçe”
The bir seller answers:” this is a special bird, this is a parrot. İt talks.
After that answer, Nasreddin hoca goes to home and comes again with a turkey. And he says “come people, this bird is only 100 Akçe. Come. “
Parrot seller gets surprised and asks to Nasreddin hoca. This is only a turkey, why you sell it very expensive, 100 akçe is very much for a turkey?
Nasreddin Hoca answers: “no not expensive. if your parrot talks, my turkey thinks. 😁

Nasreddin hoca’s tomb is in Akşehir city in Turkey. He claims that the middle of the world is there. And he said that “ if you don’t believe me, please measure yourself” 😁

By the way, if you will go Akşehir city one day, you must go “hıdırlık” area (in a forest), and eat special and traditional foods in this wooden restaurant 👇
