Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed Europe roundup brought to you by @guchtere and @for91days.
Hello, guten tag, and bonjour! Welcome to the today's weekly round-up, featuring three amazing articles about Europe. We're starting out with an excursion to Hornstrandir, a very remote area in north-east Iceland. After that, we'll whisk you back onto the continent, to the tiny country of Montenegro, where we'll visit the Durmitor National Park. And our last feature is about the infamous ruins of Pompeii. Just wait until you see the photos of the petrified humans who fell victim to the lava, so many centuries ago.

Iceland is beautiful. No wonder that the number of tourists visiting this part of the world is growing exponentially every year. Living here for several months and having contact with tourists every day at work, meeting them everywhere during my free time while exploring the island, I really started to crave to escape from them for a bit.

One of the most interesting things for me about Montenegro is its diversity on the little area of this country. There are the most beautiful beaches and hot weather at the coast, but if you drive into the mountains, it gets refreshingly cool.

The site is huge as it's basically a whole town that housed several thousand people. Most of it has been dug out of the ash that covered it by several metres. Lots of buildings are well preserved, but there had been an earthquake before the eruption that damaged a lot of them.
