Hello Steemit comiunuty, today I came to shared some photos of Hidalgo park and the story about the monument that lies here, about the Mexican militar Manuel Cepeda Peraza in the city of Mérida in the state of Yucatán, México.
Manuel Cepeda Peraza was a Mexican militar and govenor of the state of Yucatán in 1928, the military liberated the city of Mérida from the imperialist troops for which he was recognized as the meritorious of the state.
The monument was built in the year of 1896 in honor of this great military man and governor.
It is worth mentioning that the Hidalgo park is located in the center of the city of Mérida in the state of Yucatán and is a main tourist attraction due to the warmth of the park.
As you can see, the park is full of life for its greenish colors and all the plants and trees reside there giving you a warm and beautiful welcome whe you visit it for the first time.
And not only that, the Hidalgo park is surrounded by restaurants of famous local typical food, which on weekends when they close the streets for cultural events, the streets around the park are filled with chairs and tables of the restaurants for a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
Finally, if you come to visit the city of Mérida, this is one of the places that I recommend you visit, which you will not regret.
