Bali on a budget travel guide

in #traveling8 years ago

In response of @filotasriza3 reply at my post 📷 My trip in Bali, I decided to answer with a post.

Where to stay?

The price of 100- 300€ per month is about guest houses or places that rent small rooms. The quality varies depending the area and the price. A good place to start is https://www.airbnb.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/groups/BaliRoomsForRent/
Still you can find more expensive and luxury houses to rent. An example I can give is luxurious villa 3 rooms, 6 persons with pool close to sea 1000€+ per month. About the hotels are more close to western prices. Can be easily checked in popular hotel booking sites..

What about the weather?

This period that I am here Bali temperature is 24-30c and a bit humid. I think this is the temperature all year round.
There are 2 seasons for Bali. Dry season(June to October) and wet season(November to March).
Wet is the season that I am here.. It is always warm so far and raining is some parts of the day and mostly during night.

What about people?

People here are really nice, welcoming and kind. Before I come I red that Balinese people are the most kind people in Indonesia. This probably has to do with their religion witch is Hindu. They also have their own language. By my experience so far all of these are true. Of course they are also poor people and your money are important to them, so reward them when they treat you well.
The only danger in Bali is cops, Russians and aggressive Australians... no offense..
Of course that doesn't mean you can leave your belongings unprotected... there always be thieves, it can be a Balinese, an other Indonesian or a tourist.. so keep your belongings safe..

What to do in Bali?

This is the best part... In Bali you can do EVERYTHING! Except one.. drugs.
You can come to surf like me, to do other water sports, river sports, diving, fishing, sailing, yoga, meditation, family vacations, safari, hiking, climbing, see waterfalls, see volcanoes and party hard... of course there are more...

Is Bali costly?

Since you have arranged your tickets and accommodation the next standard costs are food and transit.
If you want to do things in Bali you need a bike.. not a car, a bike.. A bike you can easily find when you arrive here. Prices are 50- 70€ for a month for a 125cc scooter. It is good to have international license for your own convenience... Bali streets are left driven, heavy traffic all day long and few parts are really bad asphalt or dirt roads.
About food prices for a cheap meal starts at 3€ (2 plates and a drink). Quality and quantity depending.. Also some places are more expensive than others. In general that are the most touristic places and the crowdy (party hard) areas like Kuta.

So enjoy Bali my friends.. I am still new here but I love it so far. As a more explore this place there are always new things to see and things that make you stun..
It's a great place to clear your mind and your soul from western's life mud..

I hope you liked this post. Comment, share and love :)

It's not possible to cover all the possibilities in a post... Someone has to make a small research about what he is interested for..
