RE: Germany - Why do I love your people so much?

in #travelmap8 years ago

That is an awesome post - to me as a German since I was a teenager no matter where I go I usually always see Dutch people (Netherlands / Holland) :-)- very young it was a bit strange to be in Amsterdam getting attacked verbally as a Germany (but long ago) - nowadays a ,to changed, even they lose any football match it seems they even like Germans. But Dutch people are tome the coolest people in the world - followed by Australians and Canadians.

Thank you :).

Dutch, Canadians and Australians are very chill people :). Though I didn't meet that many.
And yeah, I think this basically shows my bias :). There is basicall a pre-filter of people I meet as they are usually travelers or at least explored different places, like to spend time in nature or anything else which I thinnk helps a lot with feeling good. And if you feel good, you're good to others, too :).

Though I did meet awesome Germans inside Germany, too ... so maybe not, maybe I am just a super lucky dude who meets awesome Germans :).
So far no one even shouted at me in German so I even like the language now :) (Though I used to hate it in high school when I was forced to learn it so I rebelled and didn't learn much - which is a shame as now I actually want to become fluent at it)

So a question to you. Do you want to move to Netherlands so you can be surrouned by Dutch people? Did you ever spend extended period of time in Netherlands (eg. 1 week +)?
