The Bug Factor
Hi, kpine and All the Fellow Steemians who might derive valuable information from this post.
It's Little Sparrow coming at You with some little bits of travel advice,
because of the fact that You are asking, oh by the way , asking Creates Communication which can hold very High Value if the information provoked is valuable, so here's My two cents worth.
Bugs
Do not forget to include the bug factor in your considerations for possible travel destinies, the bug factor, one of those small things that can easily be overlooked in the exciting anticipation of seeing the Beauty a particular destination offers.
Bugs can literally make or break the enjoyment level of a Beautiful geographical location so much so that they should not be overlooked.
So with that said perhaps where you should start is not necessarily where you want to go,
but rather where you would Not want to go because of the bug factor.
Now I can tell You from experience some of the places a person looking for Light should avoid...
Anywhere in the South Eastern hemisphere of the United States,
Virginia Tennessee North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Mississippi Louisiana Alabama Arkansas and Florida
Florida's State Bug
Don't go to Florida
But in-case you ever do
Get ready for the NO-SEE-Ms
You become their stew
Giant swarms of them
Floating in the air
Permeating everywhere
Breathe if you dare
Under attack
From things unseen
Slapping your face
Con-stant_ally
To no avail
They're covering Me
In My ears In My eyes
Up My nose No surprise
Everywhere My skin is bare
It's My flesh they live to tear
They're even tangled up
All in My hair
Nasty little buggers
Norwegian biting flys
If they weren't white
You'd see-em fill the skys
Tiny little conquistadors
Piranhas of the air
Sent on a mission
The things of nightmares
Probably better
You don't see them
Florida's state bug
The NO-SEE-M
Swamp, all of it, bug central
They've got all the bugs there, flying bugs, crawling bugs, biting bugs, stinging bugs
bugs in the water, and bugs all over the land
(don't think your gonna find a beautiful spot on the ground where you can sit, absorbing energy through meditation).
Fire-ants are everywhere... Infested
Fire-Ants
Meditation in the the field
Becoming one with the spornge
Got attacked by Fire ants
Bright fiery orange
Hopped up shouting
And kicking all about
There's still some on me
They followed the route
Right up my leg
Under my jeans
Grit and bear it
So it seems
Nothing I can do
I know it fer-sure
They bit me all over
Gonna be sore
Made it to my forehead
Crawling under cover
One, two three and four
Dozens of bites
I know theres more
I'll find out tomorrow
When the bumps turn to zits
Just how many
Are gonna leave pits
Squeezing and popping
White puss galore,
Man fuck Florida
Fire ants too
If I never go back
It'll be to soon
Got one about spiders
Post it at noon
If not fire-ants then there's spiders, all kinds, one that make your skin rot and limbs fall off,
there are even ones that lay eggs in your skin...
Spiders
Spiders are mean
Haven't you seen
Damage they do
Gonna bite you
Already bit me
Every where
Even the face
Arms, back,
Belly and knees
Watch me strip
Then you'll see
Angry red bumps
All over me
Man they itch
Fierce can be
Scratch till they bleed
Couple on my butt
Just for good measure
Used to love them
Let them be free
Not any more
Just killed three
Wrote this early
It was getting late
Post it at noon
Just couldn't wait
But mostly the bugs just make you itch really bad, irritating to the extreme, and can put a real damper on vacation experience.
Mosquito Revenge
I trapped a mosquito
Under my shirt
He bit me so hard
Fuck it hurt
Didn't mean to it
Was just kinda there
Sorta like this poem
Just came from the air
I'll have the bump for days
The itch only hours
But before the ordeal is done
I scratch and scratch and scratch
Not till the blood runs
Will it scab over
I trapped a mosquito
Under the sheet
He bit me so many times
All over my feet
My feet are swollen
With bumps and scabs
Their little needle noses
Constantly jab
Making Me scream
I'll be itching for days
Will it ever go away
I trapped a mosquito
Inside of my jeans
Can't even tell you
Where he bit me
Lord he was mean
I can tell you this
It's not a fun place to itch
Scratching my balls
People see me and twitch
Scratching my balls so much
I wore through the stitch
I trapped a mosquito
Under my hat
What a bad thing to do
He built a nest in my hair
And then there was two
They must of had babies
Cause then there was four
They feast upon my head
I don't know what to do
I scratch so hard
The bumps they do
Bleed and ooze
Kill those mosquitoes
Victoriously I lose
I hear the Dominican Republic is pretty much a bug free zone...
