Stick a little sunshine and happiness in your pocket before you go out. You never know where there will be a shortage. — give a little, get a little.
Today is #TreeTuesday initiated by @Old-Guy-Photos. Let's put up some trees today! If you haven't guessed it by now, this tree is one of my favorites. I walk right by him whenever I go out for a run or walk. No matter which way I go, it always comes back to him.
Set aside the wonder - before cold invades my soul
Explore the splendor, preserve the joy
I can nearly form an image – a picture in my mind
A piece of the green, as it may be, will someday grow up to be a tree. Conceivably.
May I interrupt this #TreeTuesday for a moment or three? A flower. There must always be a flower. This flower is dedicated to #TuesdayOrange #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra, who colors my world, every single day.
The intrusion of space
I close my eyes to the day, but, lay very much awake
Watching you disappear into obscurity
So the joy may touch your soul
Oh, the allure of all things lovely.
I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"

Well those of us in the north know the issue is not being able to put away enough sunshine and happiness while the weather is good. Even now some, not all, but with some of the nights, I can just feel a warning nip of a chill start, but then it is gone just as fast. Yet I worry not because I know I can always run over to your blog and see the sunny profile picture and read these words of sun and fun. You know I love your post, especially when they are one of my tags, but then again, some say I am not impartial ;)
Well, my treat you stay with. Be complete without the old guy coming to visit! I'm hoping that I spreading of happiness and sunshine to go around as I know that there is a need on some days. I was wondering when the chill was going to start up in Michigan. I'm not sure but you haven't even finished having summer yet? How to hear they take your summer away so early in the season. I just know we have about three months more left. Well that probably is an exaggeration because I'm around Halloween, it starts to get a little bit cool in the late afternoons.
But don't worry, because even the dead of winter we will bring Sunshine your way, even if we have to go to the ends of the Earth to find some. LOL I hope you're having a wonderful tree Tuesday and I want to thank you for stopping by and say hello and leaving a kind and wonderful comment.

Always a good reminder to keep that sunshine within (your pocket or your heart). 🌞 I like that sense of grounding by seeing the same impressive tree so often. I imagine he has quite a few stories to tell if you just sit at his base and listen long enough.
Oh yes! It's always a good idea to have a little bit of sunshine in your pocket, isn't it? You just never know when a rainy day will show up. We probably need to stop posting the same tree, but I can say that I have shown him in many stages of dress and there is something about the familiarity of the same old same old that is grounding. You are absolutely correct. And one of these days I will post a poem that I call a device from my tree. LOL I know that you just want to hear it, don't you?

Well Ferns are a big thing in NZ there even many of our sports teams include a fern so when there’s such a brilliant fern shot you know I have to love it
I am used to leaving people at a loss for words but normally because there either confused or flabbergasted lol

I see! Well ferns are a big deal in New England, as you probably already know and they are everywhere or at least where I grew up. It's funny how they were around my entire life and then I moved to the desert and what an adjustment to be without my lovely firms.
Oh, my God, yes!! You totally leave me speechless and yes there are days where it's because I'm flabbergasted but mostly because you are just such a kind and Beautiful Soul. I spread that to everybody that I know.

Lovely photos! Nature is so beautiful. The first one of the Braken Fern fiddleheads caught my attention. I'm into wild edibles and I've known the fiddleheads were edible for awhile now, but have still never tried them. They just don't seem very appetizing. lol. Someday I'm gonna have to give them a try though.
I think I would love them in a salad or used as a garnish. But, you have to let me know when you do it! I have never tried them. I am still in the wild greens and dandelion stage!
