There is a saying about maple trees and that is that maple trees are the indisputable king of autumn colors. I have seen these beautiful maple trees in movies and magazines but never in real life till i was actually standing in front of them on my visit to Osaki , Japan.
Visiting Japan in autumn is definitely spectacular and only then do you understand why that expression is used about Maple Trees "Indisputable King of Autumn Colors" it's certainly the right phase to describe these magnificent trees.
I was so amazed to see maple trees in almost every street of Japan it was the most colorful scenery i have ever seen anywhere in the world such a refreshing aroma from these maple trees. The maple trees been native to Japan can be seen everywhere but in their wildest form in forest amongst the other trees in the mountains is definitely a breathtaking scenery.
During the autumn season you will see the leaves of these maple trees turning gradually from a beautiful green into yellow, orange and finally a shiny red is why you see maple trees used widely in Japanese gardens and temples because of there such peaceful vibrate colors.
Images of maple trees growing in Japanese temple , gardens , parks and in the streets and mountains have become a iconic around the world. For thousands of year maple trees have been part of Japanese work of art as with poetry, and literature.
The maple tree in Japan is regarded as a symbol of elegance, grace and beauty and for this it attracts many tourists form all parts of the globe to admire the beauty of these spectacular colorful maple trees.
The Japanese people call the maple trees " Kaede " which means frog hands and some Japanese people call these maple trees " Momiji " which means baby hands and how they came to that is because the leaves have the appearance of a frogs hand or a baby's hand.
I have to say this trip was truly was mind blowing to be able to see this magnificent piece of mother nature and as the Japanese say they hold this beauty of the maple trees " The King of Autumn Colors " close to their hearts and i will forever hold this beautiful event i witness close to my heart also.
