Tree Tuesday - Mesa Verde, Colorado

in #treetuesday7 years ago (edited)

Hi All,

I was visiting Mesa Verde, Colorado with a group doing a tour of sacred sights in the southwest U.S. We had been to Chaco Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Aztec, Four Corners and then up to Colorado. Certainly a very fascinating trip and a great group of people.

We had been exploring the remnants of the Pueblo Culture and its kivas which curiously emerged on to the scene complete and most sophisticated at Chaco Canyon and then spread out to form other pueblos which the Spanish later encountered. It pretty much represents the opposite of evolution. Chaco Canyon at 6200 feet in elevation is thought to have been primarily a ceremonial place and maintained with a small population.

For the visit at Mesa Verde I had woken early so had left the hotel, with camera of course, to meditate and then await for the sunrise.

And thanks to @old-guy-photos for his sponsorship of TreeTuesday!!!!

I will again invite people who might be interested to take a look at what is still my photo blog here. I am preparing for some posts to add to the photos on money, currency and cryptocurrency in general which I'll be posting soon. How money is created has been a long term interest of mine since before cryptos.

Enjoy,
John Congdon
