A Tree-rific Tree Tuesday

Happy Tree Tuesday!

If these trees look a bit less than green, it is because they certainly are! They are actually cement chimneys!

I think they did a great job on the shape and texture!

Here is more info.

Now this one is the real deal lol!

It looks like a cross from a weeping willow and a pine!

These are all from a park that deserves a post or two of its own, so stay tuned!

All words and images are mine and can be also found on my various social media sites. Now I must add that some of the shots I steal from my son Ben @silver314 , but I feed him so he can sue me lol.

The sculpting of the cement to look like wood is fascinating! I daresay that is a talent that I have never seen before! (we do stainless steel trees in our Sculpting Garden! LOL) All kidding aside, I have never even heard of this, so color me educated on cement trees and where they were born.

After rereading the sign, I can see why these were sculpted where they were. Very appropriate for the cement tycoon.

I love your weeping pine. We have those here in Virginia also - I even have some in my neighborhood. I love the way they mixed all different types of pine here. Quite eclectic.

Thank you for hosting #TreeTuesday. It is my favorite challenge here.

Oh yes well there are some outstanding bridges coming soon in a post and video.

Interestingly the park is said to be haunted (in a friendly way I believe) by the Lady in the Blue Dress... Just stay tuned for more ;)

Oh, @KeithBoone probably let her loose!!!!

While it is nice to have evergreen trees here green up the winter a little, the oncoming spring is great for the new buds and branches. Can’t wait.

Also, we had been given a little pine or fir by my father in law who passed away this winter. We have to find a place to plant it where it will thrive and the kids will be able to visit it.

Two years ago I transplanted lilacs from my grandmother and a little pine tree from our old house. I planted it, but, made sure it was watered heavily the first year and it survived nicely. The ones that were not watered well did not do so well and died.

I am sure you already knew this, but, the little pine is precious and I wanted to make sure.

They cement trees look unbelievable i actually thought they were real and i would have know no difference if you didn't say so a great find my friend very interesting and the pine trees look great :)

Here's one for you...lol :)

Tree Tuesday - Alien Pine Tree in Pattaya !!

The tree is great, looking at it and then reading the plaque, 1930!! Those boys knew how to make cement back then. I doubt there is very much of anything made from cement in the 70's and 80's that is still standing or laying around on the ground.

Oh yeah just wait till you see the bridges made out of cement that look like wood. It will be a separate post but here is a sneak peek.

I was really studying that first photo before reading and I was thinking "I swear that looks like a sculpture of an old dead tree trunk"..... and gosh darn if it isn't. LOL....

I really love those tree chimneys. I now need to know what all the other pieces look like.

I pulled up your page, saw Tree Tuesday and .. .UH OH ! Before I read or looked, off I flew.... what do I have ?? what do I have ?? It was wild in my brain for a moment.... whew LOLOLOL ! So below is my link. Then I came back and saw these neat things.

Where's my supper ??!!! A sane person would have eaten first.

Those cement trees are mind boggling. Such detail. Humans shall never cease to amaze me, on all scales, forever and a day. So creative and talented. Now I have another place to visit on my long list, and I always seem to learn something from you, on your posts. I just went and read about McCourtie. Fascinating stuff. I wonder if the garage is still 'down there' below?
Your real trees are way cool too, but the cement one's kind of took the thunder there. I look forward to your park post (as I am a true tree nut, whether real or cement...) Cheers my friend, have a nice night.
