When things don't go to plan there's only one thing to do; Adapt.
I do wonder how this tree got such near perfect right angles. I would guess the tree is 20-30 years old and the bend must have happened when it was quite young, maybe just few years old. It was at the start of its life that lead it to grow sideways rather than up and for some time. Just like life for all creatures. Just when everything is going fine when we begin something or life in general, happens that causes us to go sideways. Hopefully we don't fall backwards too far but also happens.
I do wonder what it was that got this tree. A larger branch much larger than this in its youth, landed on it and the tree grew around it and as the heavy branch or trunk, the object that was holding it back got old, it began to decay and in effect fertilized this very tree it was once hampering. This tree now grows as tall as the others and reaches to the sky as we do in our endeavours. It never stopped growing it just went another way for a bit.
This tree is in Algonquin Park Canada near Smoke Lake. taken a couple summers ago when I visited home last time.
Fantastic observation @solarguy! SK.
Wonder of nature.
Wow, that's a great find!
So i guess that not only animals have "black sheep" in lives huh but plants too hehehehhe. Good thing its back in the right path, praising its god - the Sun.
That is very true. lol
It is amazing how nature adapts. The other day, I saw a poppy growing out of a rock wall, opening it's bloom to the sun.
Ooh. That would be spectacular.
I have camped at lake of two River's many times, love that area, right down to Barry's Bay.
What really happen to that is after the tree reaches a year old, he notice that he was a bit far from his colleagues trees so he decided to bend a bit to be closer :)
Good day to you.
That's very likely what may have happened. That is a really a cool find that teaches a lesson for us.
