For Christians all over the world, God comes first. What comes next is what gets a lot people confused.
Raising responsible children is the responsibility of parents. No one will raise better children than responsible parents. So, we fail as parents if we put family last on the list. We are also bound to fail in our marriages if we ignore the importance of putting family above the church or ministry.
Imagine this. A couple leave the house to work in the morning, leaving the driver or a relative to drop off the kids at school. After school, the relative or driver pick the kids up from school. The couple close from work, and head straight to church. After church activities, the couple get back home late at night to meet the kids sleeping. Imagine this is the routine for many years. What becomes of the child, or the marriage?
What happens when you lose touch with your kids, and they do not get the proper guidance and mentoring.......? What happens to a marriage that lacks the major component of communication, and knowing one another...?
As true Christians, We love God. But we must also be responsible to our families.
Hmm let's come home a bit. What if the Lord is doing the kids training? Cos i learnt that when you work in God's vineyard, He also works in yours. What i meant is that people don't give what they don't have. Else, Nothing should take the place an importance of proper nurturing of our kids. Not even church.there are always the basic things.
The truth is God will not come down to give our kids the training He has instructed us to give them. Prov 22:6
As true Christians, we must worship God, and work in His vine yard as you have rightly pointed out. But God has given us Kids, and tasked us with full responsibility for them.
When kids go bad, nobody says, bad God. They say, "Bad parents"
We must not neglect our responsibilities in the home because we are working in God's vine yard. There has to be a balance.
I think we're both in line.
