Yesterday, as I was walking through a mall, I noticed a store being renovated. The shelves were empty, and nothing was set up yet—except for one thing. In the display window, there was a single pair of black Converse, just like the ones I’ve been wearing for years.
It caught my attention right away. Why was it there? The shop had nothing else, yet this one pair of shoes was placed in the window as if it meant something. I took a picture because it gave me a special feeling—something about the simplicity, the emptiness, and the presence of that familiar pair.
Even when the store is fully stocked, I know my eyes will always go straight to those shoes.
