What's going on is certain groups of people whom I won't name nor their region because of the perpetually offended and perpetually butthurt, have created a list of "comments to use" to copy and paste and instructions on how to go through Steemit to leave the most comments as possible.
Then there's also the issue involving the phishing site Steewit which has been duping gullible users into releasing their private Steemit information and getting their accounts stolen to further propagate the spam making the problem worse.

Very informative information never heard of steewit before. What a shame this place is going this way with all the spam bots. Are their anyways to get rid of them ?
Just try to not make it profitable is all. Not all bots are bad form, but there are a lot of bad bots. It's just worth noting that. ;)
