Using browser keys is "possible" but "totally" not recommended because there are a lot of privacy concerns with storing them in your browser .... using hivesigner is fine because those are "tokens" which can be revoked by the user and using keychain those keys never actually "see" the dapp , but storing your private keys in your browser storage could make it easier for people to compromise their accounts to anyone using the same wifi or has access to the wifi remotely.

Now I have downloaded Hive Keychain for iOS mobile. I'll see if I can get TERRIVE to work using my mobile phone and Hive Keychain

I clearly understand your objection to enter with the keys directly from the browser. So I would say that it is an option to be discarded
