In the last weeks, the peakd team has created and developed a new short messaging system called Snaps that is comparable to waves of Ecency or Threads of Inleo. We believe that such short message platforms are quite interesting and we would like to use them more with the Liotes project.
That's why, today we would like to brainstorm with you how these platforms could be used by the project:
How could we use Snap (or waves, or threads) for Liotes?
There are no bad ideas. You can suggest any type of activity (game, contest, challenge, mission, interaction, brainstorming, discussion, etc...). Give as much detail as possible about your ideas.
Please write as usual your answer as a comment below this post.
The Liotes Mission
By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.
People who submit an answer will get 3 credits for the Liotes ranking. If you submit more than 1 answer, you will not get more credits.
We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.
Liotes
A project run by @ph1102 and @achim03
Snaps are great, I switched over from the others and don't regret it. Competitions are the way to go for engagement on your project.
I am a mobile user and prefer using Waves.
I think ecency made a breakthrough with a mobile app, when I am not at work I only use mobile and having an mobile apps is really something popular nowadays... we can "cheat" with peakd sharing the safari window with the main screen but it still is a bit different. I complained a lot about that, but I see that I am a minority usually!
Hmmm personally I haven't really used Snaps.. Still more a write and post person. Would be interesting to read what others say too.
These apps/features could be used to give updates about the project or post engaging messages, teasers, and even missions 😉
So I see users doing polls there, maybe liotes can start doing some periodic polls ? It can be associated with the community or even with general crypto =)
If we want quick discussions or something that is bite size, I think snap/waves will be a good option.
This is the short content sharing. You've already answered it yourself. Pictures, funny memes, pools, messages about long posts with a link, interesting posts from the internet, not only from Hive, and so on.
A game of questions and answers, cultural, local curiosities. A snap with the question and true/false answers. In the comments, users suggest topics from their local reality for the next publication.
example: In which Latin American country is it forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages in the streets and public parks?
Curious, cultural, regional fact, can generate a lot of interaction in the community!
tip: it's not my Brazil! lol
You could create special missions for the short content platforms, to attract their users too to Liotes. But that's more work for you guys.
The easy option would be to share this mission post over there on all of them. Maybe the stats post from Monday too. But not sure these are acceptable practices on each of them. On Threads you'd have to add the link to a reply, it doesn't work as a top level thread (or it didn't back when I was more active over there on Threads).
I believe Snaps (just like Threads) is an excellent tool for connection. Each project has its Discord channels where conversations happen, but that centralizes things among people with the same interests. I think on Snaps, interactions are important and help spread the word about other projects, build networks, and so on. So, I think just using Snaps daily can already have a positive impact and spark curiosity about Liotes. It's also interesting to create some mini-contests to promote engagement, maybe that's something currently missing over there.
Of course first of all you can use to inform people that you published updates and new Liotees posts. Also you can do short preview for longread post . And maybe publish Liotees ranking updates leaderboard maybe first 10 or something like this.
My first thought is to use it as a kind of help desk for onboarding and the wider Liotes community. Perhaps assign volunteers to time slots when they will monitor Snaps and respond quickly.

To interact more with the community. Perhaps organize the monitoring of events and comment on them.
We could have some updates to the project there or some activities there..
It could be used to make notices and also to publicise the project through small informative pills. I hardly use the short format, but it can work for others.
It looks like something for quick conversations between many people. Announcements or warnings sound like they could fit in too.
I think voting comments is underrated curation activity that can add value to the community. Get us to snap about liotes and vote your favorites with small %
I would assume any usage of Snaps or Waves will essentially mirror how the world uses Twitter.
@liotes! @keithtaylor likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @keithtaylor. (1/50)

I believe it can generate engagement with polls, which can give 1 point or not for the ranking. You could generate a "question and answer" board and the best answer in your opinion would win a bigger vote in his snaps, HP delegation, L2 token something like that.
Information could be shared about the growth of the liotes project, strategies for the growth of people here, objectives, goals, that sort of thing.
Maybe we can use it for an occasional mission or update, but I am not a user of that short-form feature, unfortunately.
Games or challenges are a good idea - they can be a bit more "live" than on Hive posts. Don't really have specific ideas, but it might be a good way to expand the community engagement within the realm of the Hive chain.
I don't use snaps, but I think it could be used to promote liotes when events or missions are going on. I think it's a good way to update users with just a small summary.
A good way would be to inform about new developments or upcoming publications, and thus give them more exposure.
i use #liotes tag on inleo, when i am sharing news, events etc.
Same can be done in snaps too.
Alternatively, liotes account can post trivia, polls, simple tasks exploring liotes project on snaps.
