Finding Your Tribe To Grow And Become A Better Person

One of the things that helps making your stay on Steemit enjoyable are communities. I would say it is probably the most important thing for everyone here in order to find an audience. They help you to connect with each other, see beyond the username and create new friendships. The lessons we learn from them can directly be applied on your life outside of the Steem ecosystem.

Surround Yourself With Inspiring People

We all have friends we grew up with who are very different then ourselves. Some of them are so far away from your own aspirations that they will not support you on your own path. That's life and the love and respect you have for each other is enough to stay friends. But it also means you might want to consider to find more like-minded people. This sounds harder then it is. Go to meet-ups, conferences, online groups and so on that focus on topics you really want to learn more about. Steemit has many interest groups as well and with the upcoming hivemind feature that introduces community accounts this will accelerate the growth of them even more.

Quickly you will see who is doing the work you want to learn from or connect with. The leaders of their tribes, the influencers, the pioneers and creative minds. Listen carefully to what they have to say. If you have much to say about that as well then start a conversation with them and feel the resonance. On the other hand, if there is still much too learn for you as you might just stumble into a whole new field then listen, learn and ask questions. But make sure to con+tinue surrounding yourself with these people and their ideas. Learning from others has always been a great way to grow - but stay true to yourself in the process.

I Found My Tribe At Anarchapulco

In February this year I went to Acapulco in Mexico to attend the Anarchapulco conference. It is run by @dollarvigilante who is a pioneer in crypto and anarcho-capitalism. Four years ago he started this event which has developed into one of the most popular crypto events which also puts a big focus on anarchy ideas, health and spirituality. Every encounter I had there was out of the ordinary, each conversation felt like finding a long lost friend.

This feeling was mostly mutual and indicated a strong synchronistic effects of beings comming together to find each other. It became clear to me that everything is meaningful and that I have to figure out how all these people can enrich my life to grow and become a better person. Ever since I left Mexico I was networking with the new friends I made and I feel like swimming in a pool of opportunities now.

@TribeSteemUp Unites This Community On Steemit

I met Kenny from @kennyskitchen on my first day in Acapulco. He is one of these people I am talking about. Going through huge personal changes in the past few years he has build a network of people that accelerate his own growth. He created the Steemit community @tribesteemup which supports many authors from this network who all share this mutually felt mindset we all experienced at Anarchapulco. It is hard to put it into words but it really feels like we have all been called together somehow.

The funny thing is that I already know and follow many of the tribe and enjoy their work. So becoming a part of this and contributing myself to support and help all these authors makes me feel like doing something that will make a difference to the world in the future. There is much I can and need to learn from all these people and my growth has just begun. I believe what Mark Passio is saying about Natural Law (here in my own words): You have to learn, you have to understand and then you have to put that into action to achieve wisdom.

So what I will do now is reading up on them and try to connect with the tribe in order to grow myself. The good thing is that I can take my time and do it in the pace that feels right to me. There are also other communities I want to engage with more so I have to see how to manage all of this. The journey is the lesson.

I'm with the steemit tribe! lol

It'll help when/if steemit introduces communities as a feature to this platform. The worst aspect of steemit at the moment is trying to find people in my experience.

True, it is like looking for a needle in the hay stack at the moment. This will change drastically later this year - hopefully!

Yes, I understand that's on the road map along with the..... (drum roll)... SMTs...

That is so cool that you met @kennyskitchen.
I bet you had an awesome time in Acapulco with all these awesome steemians

It was pretty much the most intense few days of my life. :)

Right! Its difficult to find real people who say real things over here.In these few days I came to know that it is tough to make real friends or community but I guess its not impossible.Still I am in learning mode in Steem it.Hope to understand better in near future.

You can find many people with really valuable content and opinions here. It is not so easy to find them all due to a lack of community features so far. But that will change when Steemit introduces the hivemind features.

The # tag feature is working some how but I thinks its not fully functional as I do use 2 # tags for my own post 1- #HappyReading 2 is #KeepSmiling but when i click the tags it dont bring me to all my post yet.

Everything older than 7 days is filtered out.

Thats Good but my account is not even of seven days

Connection is critical, and something we're all looking for. I've been a "loner" most of my life, but it's not something I'm proud of or gloat about. I'm fully aware that the best moments of my life are made with the help of others.

For years I've been continually exploring how to make more genuine connections through my passions, rather than circumventing or sabotaging these passions.

It is all about self-improvement and leaving the shackles of education behind us.

Nice to meet you @flauwy I'm lucky enough to have recently become part of the tribesteemup and I hear you when you talk about the importance of community, we are looking at a time when we can bring about change in our lives but when you connect with like minded people who share the same vision that is some awesome power that is being generated and that can be put out into the world. Really nice connecting with you and thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.

Thanks for swinging by and share some nice words. Good to see the tribe cares. :)

Love this - tribe is super important. I have always loved my tribe that connects with me about the universe and spirituality and then there are other tribes I connect with as well. No matter what you choose to do, there is someone out there who is looking for you to be part of their tribe.

It is kind of how the universe works: You think, radiate it out and someone receives it sub-consciously. Eventually you meet by "chance".

Excellent post..
that's very helpful post!!I always respect your ideas about this platform....

Thanks for the advice and very useful for me as a beginner in steemit. Have a nice day.

this is so great. you got the great point here

Learn some new from your post. Love to read it.

That's pretty cool to know thanks for the tips by the way :)

I look in my comments. If someone takes the time to leave a thoughtful reply, I'll look at their blog to see how they interact with others. You can tell the real people from those that leave copy/paste text.

its a very helpful post, thank you :)

"Join a gang!"

haha, just that on Steemit you can join several gangs at once. :)

Lol true, least it's not considered disloyalty and shankworthy to mingle elsewhere.

That's really true surrounding with some great people make our life interesting and amazing too :)

i want bee part of tribe people.THANK YOU

I just discovered tribesteemup community recently, and I'd love to be on the curation trail. How would this be possible?

I see nice things going on here.
