It is very difficult to change the internet and there will be trolls, so I'd say don't take it personally because probably they wouldn't dare to for example sing in a youtube video, they feel inadequate so instead they attack you because you are doing it, trying to drag you down to feel better about them not having the guts to do the same. So always remind yourself that you are stronger than trolls, as they hide in anonimity and expose who they really are, spiteful coward beings that need to grow out of that.
About having a child that could be exposed to trolls/abuse at school or on the internet, I would talk openly about this topics with her so they tell me if they are being bullied so I can help out.
Alright thanks for sharing
Cheers
Thanks for the input.. I am lucky in the fact that my daughter and I are pretty much best friends, and she has promised to always tell me if she's bullied or if she ever has suicidal thoughts or if her friends do. Not easy or comfortable conversations but I m happy that we had them. I definitely try not to let trolls bother me, and it's gotten a lot easier over the years. Doesn't bother me really much at all when people diss my singing anymore.
Thank you so much for your comment. Really kind of you. :)
