While at the end of the day, witnesses are needed to maintain the infrastructure - what is the point of infrastructure or the blockchain at all if creators aren't rewarded in an equitable manner?
Its a bad approach and we have seen it failing first hand. There must be an intrinsic utility value provided by the chain like dApp which generates revenue. Otherwise, the system is flawed.
A suggestion could be that when a post is promoted or featured, the money used for that promotion or feature is spread to the accounts that delivered page views or clicks on that promotion, paying content creators for the impressions made.
It's need an ad sense like anti spam / anti gaming mechanism to stop bots, but it's another way to share revenue.
yes, something like that. A part of the revenue can be paid back to the apps. In anycase we are seeing the first generation apps and also seeing the issues around it. What we are witnessing, IMHO is the evolutionary steps in the blockchain paradigm. Time will tell beyond the Bitcoin usecase, will the public-ledger will live or not.
I hope so. I came to this chain to say what I want and to stand by the history of what I say, acknowledging that my changing opinions and thoughts of matters can be scrutinised openly.
It's okay for someone to change their opinion and outline the reasons for it.
It is n it okay for them to delete all traces of what their opinion or idea was at a certain stage of history.
Interestingly I was reading a paper given below today ...
This is great : )
