There’s been some controversy regarding this coin within the last year. It was one of the most hyped coins of 2017 which started at a price that was less than 1 cent, 0.002 per TRX in September, to reaching an all time high of 0.30 cents on January 4th during the crypto bull run.
It has since come down in price. It started from people selling off their profit. Those who made considerable gains cashed out.
One of the biggest news that affected Tron (TRX) was the plagiarized whitepaper, where Tron had copied bits and pieces of the whitepaper from other crypto currencies and implemented them into their own.
The second big piece of news that added to the FUD was the 6 billion TRX coins that an Ethereum wallet had sold to a few different exchanges. People were believing this was Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, trying to cash out.
There were other very minor news that had added to the FUD, but I think the most important thing to look at now is what Tron has become and accomplished.
Tron is not an ERC20 token anymore.
Tron’s MainNet was a success and it’s now it’s own coin. Developers can now release their Dapps on Tron’s blockchain and take advantage of the scalability it provides vs Ethereum.
Tron (TRX) and Pornhub
People can now purchase adult content in one of the biggest online adult entertainment industries.
Although people can view many of these vids online for free, I do believe that this will help the widespread adoption of the coin.
Tron bought BitTorrent.
This is one of the biggest news in my opinion. Millions of people around the world use BitTorrent or uTorrent to share and download music or movies, and tv shows for free. Justin Sun plans to integrate BitTorrent into Tron and be able to save content within the blockchain to speed up the download speeds, and even distribute and reward TRX to people who seed, which will strengthen adoption of the coin and increase usage of the blockchain.
Sending TRX on Twitter
You will soon be able to send TRX coins to anyone on Twitter using Seedit. Seedit, which was developed by Tron Super Representative, SesameSeed is based on the Tron network. With Seedit, you will be able to easily send TRX or any other Tron token to anyone around the world from various social media platforms like Telegram, Twitter, Reddit and Kakao, according to one of the official Seedit statements.
Tron Virtual Machine
With the Tron Virtual Machine, developers on Ethereum will be able to easily migrate into Tron. TVM will also give much greater flexibility to create applications as TVM uses bandwidth instead of Ethereum’s EVM which depends on gas (internal pricing for running a transaction or contract in Ethereum), all which is free on the Tron platform. This gives the developers the ability to create more complex and sophisticated applications without worrying too much on how much certain tasks or transactions will cost. vs Erhereum which can limit what they do. TVM will also be made compatible with more mainstream VM’s such as EOS!
The reason for this post was for me to give a short summary of what Tron has done and been through within this past year and to have an idea on what people in the community believe. Are you bullish or bearish on Tron? Do you believe Tron is a sh*tcoin or do you believe Tron will become a huge success and have widespread adoption? I would love to hear your thoughts and reasons for it. Please be respectful to one another as we all have our own beliefs. Remember that the most important thing in crypto is the technology and benefits it brings to the world. Don’t lose sight of it because of the money.
This is my first post so please excuse any errors I have made, I will only get better as I write more. If there’s anything I missed please feel free to let me know in the comments and any positive criticism is welcomed. Feel free to let me know what I can do better so you may have a more pleasant reading experience. Have a good day everyone!
