Lately, I had promised not to dwell any longer on the burning subject of crypto-currencies. It is not the desire that I miss to write other articles on much more varied topics, in accordance with my predilections, but I must nevertheless share with you my feeling on the news that touches more closely our social network, centered around the blockchain, that is Steem. You may not have missed it, since the event of the moment concerns all of us, the users who are skimming the various topics of this medium that has been offered to us since 2016. The purchase of Steemit Inc by the good care of Justin Sun, CEO of the Tron Foundation, somewhat upset the plans put in place by the community, involved in the development of this blockchain until the independent. This announcement has surprised many (can we talk about treason ?), inevitably calls into question the economic aspect as well as the internal functioning of the Steem-based ecosystem.

As @french-tech mentioned in his article you will find at french-tech page, this is not a friendly partnership between Mr Sun and Ned Scott, but a full buyout of the accounts owned by Steemit Inc. This process thus grants the handover of more than 75 million tokens, an important financial and decision-making power that will have obvious repercussions for the future of the network. In the financial world, this can be considered a takeover bid.. There is no doubt that a transition to the Tron network will take place, with or without the opinion of the witnesses who currently govern the proper functioning of Steem.

As a result, the coming arrival of a Steem 2.0 on Tron, using Steemit's layer and behaving in the same way as we do now, will surely come. Although there are no further details on how things will work out, there is a good chance that an airdrop will occur when the game is set up in order to deliver an equivalent amount of Steem chips to the owners of the old currency. However, the effect of this manoeuvre will be to split the blockchain in two. Because it may very well be that a good part of the witnesses refuse the migration and will continue to maintain the current network, via a hardfork realized by consensus, renowned for the occasion Steem Classic... And yes, Steemit is not Steem and it is impossible to buy back the whole blockchain.

What kind of sauce are we gonna get?

But what about all this ? First of all, we should mention the fact that Tron is in no way a serious alternative, in my view. The project to create an internet of contents completely decentralized on this blockchain, rests essentially only on the purchase of already existing technologies (Bittorent on the front line) and absolutely not on original and innovative alternatives. Personally, I see Tron as a group of investors, with few developers at their disposal, gradually taking over the projects of different groups in order to benefit from them. The Ethereum killer is beautiful ! In short, all the money poured into Tron is probably used only for this practice, a simple creation of a consortium financed by a blockchain system. By Justin Sun's own admission, Tron is nothing more than a shitcoin, with no real technology, to capitalize revenues for the purpose of purchasing structures. Yes, you read it well. It is not I who says it, but its representative !

What can I do ? It's hard to predict that Steem's coming. Still, this purchase does not foreshadow anything good : Division of the community, uncertainties about the future of the devs who were involved in the project, the fate of the Dapps, etc... One of the advantages, if not the only one I can see, will certainly come from the financial resources of Tron, allowing for better visibility and a much larger budget for the promotion and development. It remains to be seen how all this will unfold. For my part, I am thinking more and more of liquidating all my Steem in order to join more robust and serious projects. Anyway I'm curious and I'll probably wait a little bit before I make a decision. After this event, nothing will be the same...
