Trust is firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something. Trust is something I will say earned but placing a trust on someone you have not met is a very risky thing to do. You might be thinking of trusting someone based off physical appearance or what the person have said but using that as a judgement to trust some is very wrong.
To trust someone you just met is something you should based on your instincts but how well do you trust your instincts and how well have your instincts put you in a right direction. You can trust someone you just met by simple putting the person on a quick test but that is not also a reliable way because the person might me just lucky to pass the test and nothing beyond that.
To me, I won't advice you to trust someone you just met because before you can trust someone you need to put into consideration of things like how well do you know the person, how strong is your relationship with the person, how long have you known the person, your history with the person. You can't know all this in a person you just met except you know someone who knows the person you just met and the person can assure you that you can trust the person you just met, except that you just have to trust in your instincts which I won't advice to to totally trust.
