RE: Eternal Truth

in #truth8 years ago

Truth is objective. It is not subjective to people's opinion. There is only one truth. No one has "their own truth." People may have "their own perspective" or "their own opinion," but that does not change truth! Truth is eternal and does not change, that's why it is called "truth." No one needs someone else to tell them what it truth. God gave everyone a heart that has the ability to reason. We can use our own reason to know what is truth and what is not. There is no contrary truth against the real truth. That's how you know what is truth and what is just theory and opinion. I appreciate your time as well, and am glad to talk with you.

Sort:

it was the devil that gave humans the knudge to eve who then convinced adam to eat the fruit of knowledge.
as my understanding goes. God did not want to us to know, well anything almost. accept to live and enjoy the world. knowing what is right and what is wrong is the basis, to me at least of reason. while god had created us with the ability, it is the influence of the devil that allowed for us to decide how to decipher what was right and wrong, or the essentials of the ability to tell what is true or not true.

i think that yes you have a point. with there being an objective aspect. i believe this has to do with how other people react to your "opinion of truth".
it has to do with influence, as exemplified by the adam and eve in paradise story.

people can believe that which has no place in the world. which to others is untrue, as truth. that of an atheist in consideration of god.

what do you think about the influence of one person's interpretation of truth and it's impact on other people's life?

Reason is a good thing. It is a gift from God. Man is the only creature that was given the ability to reason, and therefore we are held eternally accountable for our values and decisions. All other living creatures were programmed to base their decisions upon instinct. Man has the ability to reason what is right and what it wrong, what is good and what is bad based upon the ability to weigh and prioritize principles and values. This is because man was made in the image of the Creator who is a moral being of righteousness and truth.

Adam and Eve already knew right from wrong, but they did not experience (know) evil until they chose to do what was wrong. The devil is not a creator nor a giver of anything beneficial. He is a pervert. Therefore, everything he does is a perversion of what is right, what is good, and what is true. The more people base their beliefs, values, and decisions upon the five physical senses of their bodies, and the five capacities of their soul, instead of the conscience (the heart) in their spirit, the easier it is for them to believe the lies of satan like Eve did in the Garden of Eden at the beginning.

In the same way, if people allow other people's beliefs, experiences, and opinions to have a greater weight of value than their own heart's conscience (the only place truth is known), they are essentially selling out their responsibility, and attempting to transfer the responsibility for their beliefs and decisions to someone else. However, attempting to transfer responsibility for our beliefs and decisions does not absolve us from responsibility in the sight of God. We cannot blame others for anything. We all have "response-ability," the ability to respond.

Also no one is an island to himself. We all have an influence upon others, whether we know it or not, and whether we like it or not. We are all members of the human race. We were all given the gift of life, and responsible for our own lives, and our beliefs, decisions, and actions always influence others, so we will be held accountable for our influence upon others as well.

It is sad that so many people just follow the majority. The majority live by hearsay, opinions, and experiences. Very few actually use their hearts to think objectively for themselves.
