Cop Mentality: Where Does It Start And How To Reduce The Abuse

It’s thought provoking to analyze the plain terrorizing mentality and flat out injustice regarding police officers. Knowing that cops get away with murder and your complete inability to defend yourself from them is a terrifying thought. Even if you are doing nothing wrong and a cop trails you their presence holds a power that makes you feel as though you are doing something wrong and a real fear to be stopped by one, with a potential of them having a bad day and their ability to take advantage of you by threatening your life without any responsibility or repercussions.

Weather you believe police officers are good or not isn’t the debate, cops are privileged and are enforcing unjust laws to collect revenue for the state, a large portion of the money they collect from the poor(keep them poor) are for victimless crimes that the officers themselves often commit without any penalty.

Police often plague my dreams to beat, shoot and hold me or my loved ones hostage, the sense of helplessness that comes from these scenarios is indescribable. Which brings me to the blatant hypocrisy of being able to protect myself from anyone trying to physically harm me, except from cops, just because they claim I am doing something wrong or something they don’t approve of, badges don’t grant you extra rights. If you were to beat your neighbor for doing something victimless, that you think is wrong, you would be reprimanded, but police have no accountability.

And why should parents hold this exact power over their children? As a child I was as afraid of my father as I am currently fearful of police, this is because they hold an untouchable authority image over me. Just because you deem something your child did to be wrong, especially if no one was hurt, why should you be able to lay a hand on and put them in that helpless state of mind? “To teach them a lesson” isn’t the answer, hitting a child only conditions them into believing excessive force is okay when an outsider deems it appropriate.

This mentality starts at home, seeps into schools in the form of bullying, makes it’s way into frat houses with hazing and even continues into professions(like police), and on up to secret societies, but it starts with children and that is where the healing needs to be amended. We need to do better as parents and bring our children up in a healthy and nurturing environment, but the only way for us to achieve this is to heal ourselves first, we must look inward and heal our traumas so that we don’t pass them along to our children.

A better future starts with us, let’s make healing and education the thing that we pass down from generation to generation.

Interesting post about 'cop-mentality'. This type of mentality you can find not only in cops, but parents and teachers too, and they induce an element of fear in the kid or person. For kids, it's damaging because they will have psychological issues later in their life if their parents or teachers have this mentality.

Excellent article, as you say, is the future and the wellbeing of the new generations. That is why it is so important that our generation adequately develop emotional intelligence and assertive communication

Sorry for pointing out the typo in "Reduse" , but I'm kinda curious...

I used to make these mistakes all the time due to typing a word as I was thinking about the next one. Recently, I realized that I don't do it nearly as often. I'm taking meds to treat my anxiety and adhd, are any of these disorders related to this or not at all? Very unrelated but I wanted to take advantage of the "psychology" subject.

There are natural solutions for adhd and anxiety you should use those vs pharmaceuticals. Typos typically happen when the brain is moving too fast, when letters are close to another on the keyboard or when your phone autocorrects lol

Nothing is determinant in this life (well, only death).
But the anxiety disorder can be due to many factors, if you are sure that you have an anxiety disorder is because you have been diagnosed by a psychologist and I am sure that if you keep going to therapy you will know the reason for your disorder.

VERY well written. Thank you for sharing, ill give you a quick follow!

Interesting. Well put. I followed and upvoted.

There are good cops and bad cops. There are good politicians and bad politicians. There are good teachers and bad teachers. Maybe call the non emergency number to your local police department and express your feelings and concerns. I agree "let’s make healing and education the thing that we pass down from generation to generation".

Even if I were to call and express my concerns to the people creating the concerns, it wouldn’t be recognized the mentally ill do not realize they are sick.

"cops are privileged and are enforcing unjust laws"
I agree cops are enforcing unjust laws in some cases. Is it fair to say the cops enforcing unjust laws are the problem and not the unjust laws?

Asi es debemos cambiar nuestra manera de educar a nuestros hijos, la forma drástica que adoptamos no trae buenos resultados. Muy Nutrido tu Post.

I would like to hear your thought on how you should bring up children in a healthy way while still being so anti-law enforcement. Shouldn't the ever threatening oppression by the police call for a mayor revolution of state before we focus on the childcare?

I also wonder if you are an Stephan Molyneux follower and have watched his The Bomb in the Brain series
