Yes, I too used to participate in this holiday.

I read where Antone Lavey that founded the Church of Satan in 1966 called Halloween the third highest day on the satanic calendar for Satanists. Antone Lavey wrote this in his book called, The Satanic Bible. We don't want to be celebrating the same things that the satanic are celebrating.

“Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them” (Ephesians 5:11).

Thanks for bringing up this subject.

Why can't you let people make up there own mind

Not more than watching horror movies or having a themed party. For most people Halloween has nothing to do with their religious beliefs.

It has nothing to do with their religious beliefs because it is completely against religion, they just dont know it...

Actually.. most of them know it but they just didn't care.

I personally would choose a horror themed costume party over religion any day of the week, but that's just me ;)

@ruch, usually that don't know anything but it is true that who knows don't care!!!

There isn't one correct answer for people to know. That's your interpretation and most people don't agree with you. Most people would say that dressing up as a vampire is not an unholy act because vampires are not real. Even most children realize they are dressing up as factional characters on Halloween, so it's essentially a horror themed costume party. Most people, even if they are religious, see it as that. Sure, the pagan origin of the holiday is clear, but we can say the same for most of the Christmas traditions, but people still enjoy them and it doesn't make them pagan. People care neither about the origin, nor about the meaning someone else might see in a holiday. They care about what meaning or value they see in a holiday and sometimes the fact that it's fun is enough.

So don't try to read into things that aren't there and join the party ;)

I agree.
I watched stunned some of my female friends dressed up as sluts and posting everything on social media.
Literally few girls were wearing sex costumes from sex shop and went out like that in to the taxi.
Such a puritan girls

If you don't like it then just don't participate. Year after year it's the same thing with these people who think they know the best way because they believe they know god best.

Satanic paganism or not, I hate it anyway.

LOL, it's an old pagan celebration, for entering into the dark evenings, the end of harvest. Pagans would now pray to the man of the woods (green man) the horned god instead of the summer goddess.
Probably for a good hunt to get meat over the winter.
Ancient peoples believed that the spirits of the dead walked among them, hence the lighting of the candles to guide the way.
Christianity wasn't around, or was in it's infancy. There was no such thing as Christ or satan.
