The principle in value is a noble one but ultimately in reality it doesn't work. If you have feminism, then you do also need masculism. Most feminists do not embrace masculism and ridicule it. It is hard to find a feminist concerned about the ridiculously high suicide rate for men for example. However, someone interested in equality, in theory, should be equally interested in that inequality as well. In other words, their personal needs oftentimes trump their claimed values, which happens with most people claiming to be oppressed. This is because the fact is everyone is oppressed in some way. So no, truthfully I don't really give a fuck about one certain kind of oppression because I know for a fact that it is not reciprocal and that they do not care about mine. And that doesn't come from prejudice. It comes from experience of giving a fuck about it and realising the same good will is never coming back. I do want society to be fair but the reality is it is unfair and I have only got burnt by believing and acting otherwise.
