Politics is evil and evil is always wrapped, to see it you must unwrap it, hoping you do not get hurt while unwrapping it, for evil always fights back very fiercely
I don’t want to quibble but I think Politics can be good or evil depending on the fidelity to Natural Law that it embodies. If government and the polity that comprises it restrict their activities to “The Collective Organization of the Individual Right to Lawful Defense” (The Law, by Frédéric Bastiat), then Politics would be a good thing.
But as you point out, the reality now is that Politics is evil.
It may appear unrelated but if you have not read The Unconstitutionality of Slavery, by Lysander Spooner, audio, I can’t recommend it highly enough. The first chapter is a tour de force on what legitimate government should be. Can we make it so? That is up to us.
