Hi again Finnian! :)
I realised that following everyone that followed me, really was not to follow them.
So i decided to actually visit every single one of them and remove those i did not think had posts that i found interesting.
That made me go from following 131 people, to just following 30 people.
The great thing about that, is that now i can simply click on any of the names i follow, and be sure to find interesting posts, like this one. :)
The first times we talked, i thought you was just a very nice person that gave me some free advice, but thanks to my new "following policy" i manage to discover you among the people i followed, and also discovered that you are a libertarian (and maybe even a Anarchist?)
And that make you extra interesting for me. :)
I agree to everything you wrote.
But the video i did not agree to everything, even if i agree to most of it. :)
Complaining about small things i agree is a waste of time, and actually something that just will put your self down.
But to not complain on anything, is the same as to say everything is ok in my mind.
For me as a person, everything is find, and i have a wonderful life.
But if that should be a reason to not care about the people in poor countries that we are bombing and occupying the country and so on,
i would look at my self as a selfish person.
I live in Norway, so naturally i can easy live a great and pretty free life, and pretend that everything is perfect if i wanted.
But that is only true for my self.
I think i would be selfish if i did not complain about the fact that we kill and help to occupy countries like Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and so on..
And the guy in the video, it sound like a nice man(but a bit selfish in my ears) i must admit that i dont know who he is.
But he is wrong about something, for example when he say that oil and the fashion industry is the worst thing to our environment.
Because the bombs we use and the wars we(most of us) support, is much worse to the environment.
But he have many good points, and it is more easy to catch a fly with honey then with vinegar. ;)
I am mostly a optimistically man, and try to mostly use honey, because i know that more people will listen to what i actually try to say that way.
But i must admit that i often become very frustrated about how ignorant and stupid common people often act, and how they say things i try to tell them are wrong, without even looking it to it first, and then i fall in to the trap of using vinegar.(it never help, but i am just a human after all..)
This is the first of your posts i have read, but it made me decide that by time i will look at most of your posts.
And even if i disagree with some of the things in the video, the main message i agree to, and some times, even if we know it from before, it is nice to get a reminder about it.. :)
Keep up the good work!
And i hope you have a great day when you read this. :)
(sorry, i just discovered that i had made a ocean of words here.. lol)
Thank you! Yes, I'm an anarchist, but a lot of people do not understand the term these days. It is confused with private property destroying punks and collectivists a lot unfortunately.
A lot of the wars being fought are to secure oil and other resources as you know. It's theft on a grand scale. Gold is literally stolen from many of the places that are invaded in fact. I guess as with murder, grand theft is okay as long as the governments and their agents do it.
I completely agree that we cannot remain silent. We have a duty to speak out and act. If good people continually give ground, eventually we'll all live in a fascist totalitarian virtual prison. That is not the future I want for my children. Their liberty is worth any price to me.
I was listening to a video about Elon Musk today and had an "ah ha" moment that I'll probably post about later, but it is related to not remaining silent and driving forward as good people to make a better future. It is way too easy to let things fall apart. Wars and destruction sometimes make it happen also.
Definitely please look back at some of my original posts. There's some good stuff in there! I got a bit burned out lately with the instability and how the platform works (you work hard on a post and barely anyone sees it) haha. I don't mind that really, but I have limited time. The time needs to be spent as wisely as possible per the above concept.
Sometimes I wonder if spending as much as I have here is worth the time. Am I making a significant difference? Individual liberty is served best with time spent here or doing PI training? We must always ask ourselves these questions. Our objectives are indeed worth any price, but how we spend our time should be done as efficiently as possible.
I'm not perfect in that regard either, so I'm not suggesting that. I don't always drive forward and always work. Still, I understand what's at stake, and I get back on the right path as often as needed. There's an old saying, Japanese I think, that states, "Fall seven; get up eight."
