I know that this is probably annoying you regular readers on facebook that I keep harping on this - but I can't help it. To date, with spending $75 US 7 months ago, and spending just a little time each day posting, upvoting and commenting on Steemit, my earnings on the platform are now over $1800. How much money are you making from facebook, twitter or reddit? Nothing right? Well... why not do something about that?
I admit that the first few months on Steemit were slow. I took me awhile to figure my way out with the platform. But I did not give up. I've made over 1300 posts or comments. In fact, I think about 30% of my earnings has come to me JUST because I commented intelligently on the posts made by others. But now I think I understand the platform and it's really not too late to get involved. It's still in Beta and it's just getting tested.
The fact is, we know that Facebook, Twitter and Reddit are shadowbanning people... they are hiding your content from being seen by others because they hope to monetize you. They want you to pay money to be seen. The way Steemit works, as a distributed platform on the Blockchain, your content can't be censored like that. If you have people who have decided to "follow you" -- they actually will see every single post you make in their feeds.
How often have you felt like you were posting into the ether when nobody liked or commented or responded to your posts on these other platforms? Well -- there's a good chance that with the games that Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Youtube work, that nobody was seeing your stuff.

I could cash out -- but I don't want to. I want to keep growing that steem power and keep building the network and the platform. I think Steem is bound to hit $100 by the end of next year. Unfortunately Facebook is a well known "brand name". For me, it's almost trying to convince a long time Nike buyers to switch over & start buying Adidas.
Not impossible, but certainly not easy. Think of it as a challenge! :)
Challenges are awesome! They push you to your limits & force you to think outside of the box.
