What is Knowledge?
I am no expert, but I think it means to know something as in when the a lawyer asks someone if they had knowledge or forethought of a crime, the answer to which would then possibly add years the the defendant's sentence. In other words, knowledge is synonymous with or could be stated as "a fact" that is established by evidence or as a result of a debate.

There's a lack of debate in society these days which is resulting in many people talking about your truth, my truth, and their truth. Other people simply hear the truth and say, "That's a conspiracy theory." I will not be getting into any conspiracy theories in this post. The point is that people are not searching for what is real or not real, what is true or not true, and they don't even care about debating about who is right on most topics.
What I like about the Bible is that there is just plain truth written out and ready for us to read. I posted it up above simply because it is relevant to the post I am making.
Before you can have complacency, which we have had for more than a century to lesser and lesser degrees as we approach present day, first you would need to have identified a fact or a truth that you are now complacent about. Another word for that is information. Information is not informative if it is not established as accurate. Hence our current lack of debate.
But we neither have accurate information or truth in our society today because people are skipping one step in the process of establishing that information as truthful or real. We hear that companies are battling misinformation but what if what they are battling IS the a accurate information. We will never know until time establishes the truth for us. That has happened many times and the result is always the same. Complacency!
Rinse and repeat...
Instead of debating something, and that would include time tested facts along with the real culprits of misinformation, we simply choose a side and group up with others that believe the same as we do. Others do the same thing based on their usual source of "information" and group up with other like minded friends to oppose us. Then division springs to life.
So we are stuck in an endless "or team" vs "their team" scenario that only spawns endless protests and infighting of the population, no matter what country you live in, this will impact you as well.
Lack of debate and establishment of what is true leaves us stuck with a doubt about whose information is correct or not. As a result, we have an information war which only causes strife and division, but there are instances in which the information is clear and the truth should be identified and acted upon. This is where complacency starts.
Just the Facts
Take, for example, Joe Biden's history of strange behavior around young children. Yet, he somehow gained access to those powerful seat in the world to run the most powerful economy and military known to man. Complacency brought that to our current reality, and again, it doesn't matter where you live. You are affected.
We know what illegal immigration does to countries by looking at places like France, yet Joe has done everything to make sure we meet the same fate as the French. Stabbings and "no go" zones where even the police are unable to go. This cannot end well!
We are also on our way to war under Joe but Trump, on the other hand, was the only president who ended some wars and did not start any new ones. I am neither for Trump or Biden and it would not matter if I were, I do not live in The States and could not vote on either of them even if I wanted to.
If Biden is the wrong guy then we should probably debate how he got in office. Was there cheating? What his campaign so brilliant that people just turned out in droves to vote for him? If not, then the truth about it should be debated.
Did Israel let down their stellar guard, allowing terrorists to come in and capture women and children? The norm for centuries has been POW swaps, which were always made up of only soldiers not innocent civilians who happened to live there or were vacationing when it happend. Have the rules of war changed? Are there no guidelines stipulated in the Geneva Convention as to prisoners of war? Some of what I am saying here can easily be found in documents, yet people seem to feel they can make up their own truth and act on it.
What about some of the changes that have been made to laws all over the world related to banking and seizure of assets. What about laws related to lenders and selling mortgages to other parties, parties that the borrower may not have signed contracts with. Have we been complacent about looking into what our, so called, "representatives" have done in our name?
Have we been able to vote on whether or not to defund police? It is our safety that is impacted by such nonsense. What about euthanasia? How about schools and what they are teaching? Here is what God says about people who ignore truth (knowledge) and what will happen because they have done so.
Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of YHVH, would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof, therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices.
For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster."
Complacency, as applied over time to the above mentioned examples, is not likely to bode well for humanity on this earth if left unchecked. How many times have you heard something and believed it, then simply pushed aside the "how horrible" sensation and went on with your day?
