Your soul is YOUR soul and you need to listen to yourself - which in energetic terms mean allowing real feelings to emote internally in relation to thoughts and for the herat to then lovingly bond the two - which leads to right understanding. How to do this is more complicated becuase of the extensive degree of denial within most people - however, once denial is ended this will work.
I understand that some people can be helped by therapists but this is only because they are internally closed to themselves and the therapist is a reflection of their own denials. So in that sense, worse than prostitution, it is not illogical to identify the exploitation and a kind of energetic rape. Rape is non consensual but then ultimately as you point out, few people actually WANT to go to a therapist and will tend to feel it is against their own will when they really get in touch with their real feelings.
