Arab villagers say Turkey's mercenary groups broke into their homes, harassed and robbed them.
Transcript:
Brother, they came at 1 AM.
There was no one else [in the house] except me, my daughters and those little kids. They kicked and searched and stole everything. They harass women, and called us liars.
One of them hit me on my chest. He was a tall one, he had his mustache shaven and had a long beard. They insulted us with every vulgar word there is.
They broke down the doors, and took everything.
– Who were they?
– All of them were from Aleppo. Rebels from Aleppo. I would open the door for them, but they broke the door and came in right away.
They would eye the women from top to toe. They stormed in without knocking or any kind of respect.
– What did they take from you?
– They took the girls’ ID cards. They accused us of being for ‘the party.’ We don’t know the first thing about ‘the party.’ And above all, I approached the vehicle and beseeched them saying ‘brother we have nothing to do with anything, we are just women here.’ He got back into his vehicle and said ‘get lost or I will reduce you to a heap of meat’
They torn up the place.
[I urged them] ‘search the place as long as you want, but we don't have anything for you to treat us this way.’
They searched as they wished and stormed in where only women were present.
– - We told them we would open the doors of drawers for you, but they would tell us to shut up.
– They told us ‘you are all agents’ and such.. and ‘you are with the parties’. We are not with any parties or anyone. I have a son who is wounded in his leg and in need of surgery. Every month they tell us they would do the surgery, but they don't.
Now they brought us degenerates who rob everyone. Any gold, money, phones and ID cards they found, they took.
They took all and above that they insulted us.
– Where is your son? Who took him?
– - He was taken by those…
– Those from Aleppo!
– - Those from Aleppo or whatever. They took him yesterday.
– How old is your son?
– He is about 17.
– Who helped you and who brought those stuff?
– Division 20 brought us supplies. God bless them, they are the ones who brought us back our belongings. They came and stood by us. We weren’t afraid of them. … May God be with them!
They were from Ghuweran. They came and helped us. We’ve been living in fear for 5 days, until they came.
We were terrified. They would shoot at us from their checkpoints.
They would break into any house they saw.
They didn’t leave us anything.
