Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a horrendous appeal by calling on Islamic countries to attack Israel from all directions under the banner of "Islam". Erdogan's plan was published in Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak.
"İsrail'e karşı 'İslam Ordusu' kurulsa ..." the title of the article that means "If the 'Islamic Army' was established against Israel ...".
The article is actually part of Erdogan's speech at his party's annual meetings, the AKP, the Turkish Justice and Unity Party.
Erdogan put forward the suggestion that 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) want to unite the invasion of Israel from various sides, it will form the largest military parade in the world that can easily defeat the Jewish state.
"If OIC member nations are united militarily, they will form the largest and most comprehensive army in the world," reads one quote in the article.
The OIC has so far not commented on the Turkish media report. As is known, Indonesia is one of the OIC member countries that are known to be active in realizing peace.
"The number of active soldiers will at least reach 5,206,100 troops, while the defense budget will reach about USD175 billion," the article said
Uniquely, the report is accompanied by an interactive map that provides the formation of military forces to attack "Islamic army" together against Israel.
The article provides additional details of the plan, stating; "It is expected that 250,000 troops will participate in the first possible operation."
"The ground, air and sea basis of the member states located in the most critical areas will be used," the article added.
"The combined bases will be built in a short time ... It's possible for 500 tanks and armored vehicles, 100 aircraft and 500 combat helicopters and 50 ships to mobilize quickly."
Erdogan did not deny his support for the report and on several occasions said he wanted to revive the Ottoman Empire.
The Erdogan government has now set up military bases in Qatar and Somalia and has recently reached an agreement with Sudan to acquire a Sudanese island on the Red Sea for use as a military base.
